The first one to arrive many mornings, Katie turns on the lights and music, cleans every surface, opens up the register, and makes sure the jewelry cases are in top shape to begin the day. A master at multitasking, you won’t see her sweat while simultaneously booking appointments, sending emails, checking in clients, prepping for the following day, and answering the non-stop ring of the studio phone. She helps out each client on the other end of the line with a kind tone, sometimes while silently communicating to her co-workers that she is on the phone and can help them out soon too! During quiet moments you can find Katie hard at work creating new displays or sorting jewelry back into its place behind the counter. Our clients may know Katie as the gal who helped them find the most gorgeous new addition to their jewelry collection, the person on the other end of the phone, the one on the computer putting together your price quotes for piercing and jewelry services, the lady who gives you the passcode for the bathroom, or just that voice you hear as she walks you out of the studio after ringing you up for your service. Our staff knows her as someone they can rely on to get the day flowing smoothly, reach out to clients, rearrange appointments, keep the studio clean and fresh, run out for coffee or snacks, or change the tunes when someone hollers, “SKIP!” because the music just isn’t feeling right.

You might notice Katie in a different pair of glasses every time you enter the studio. She has lost count of the number in her collection and loves to whip out a new pair depending on the vibe she is seeking from her clothing choice of the day. Outside of the studio Katie enjoys kitchen chemistry, inventing new health-minded dessert recipes, decorating cakes for friends and family events, and baking off inviting loaves of bread in all shapes. You’ll also find her working on home renovation projects, playing with her two cats, attempting to have the discipline for teaching herself new hobbies, or sorting through her never-ending vhs collection to find the perfect one watch while snuggling up to her partner. Summer might just be her favorite season of the year because she loves to see her garden come to life, let the cats outside, and spend time riding bicycles, camping, hiking, and soaking in that beautiful vitamin D.
