Scout S. (they/them) is our director and principal piercer. They are a member of the Association of Professional Piercers and the driving force behind our Body Piercing and jewelry offerings.

Scout brings their love for design and fashion to their piercing services. They have an uncanny ability to understand your esthetic so they can recommend jewelry and piercings that fit you and your lifestyle. Their piercing skills and calm approach create trust and a sense of ease when getting pierced.

Scout believes that each piercing we get brings us closer to our truest form. Some words from Scout, “Piercings are more than we give them credit for. Piercings are an expression of our inner selves, how we show the world who we think we are. They can be a way to reclaim our bodies after the traumas of life and are a great way to experience pain in a safe and healthy way. As a piercer, my role is to support each client on their journey toward self-trust—and hopefully, by the end of our time together, they leave feeling deeply empowered. That is my ultimate goal.”

You can find Scout on piercing on some days, mentoring the staff or their apprentice on other days, or working on various projects (piercing related or otherwise) throughout the studio.

In their free time, they love visiting with their friends and family; working on crafts, legos, puzzles, or video games; seeing live music and going to festivals; playing and training their dog, Mochi; volunteering their time in the community; traveling; and chilling at home watching movies or shows! They love hearing about client’s interests and they love a good infodump, so don’t be shy with sharing!

Zach is one of our incredible body piercers who joined the team in August 2021 from Fairbanks, Alaska.

Since he started at our studio, he actively started completing the steps to becoming a member of the Association of Professional Piercers and was officially was accepted in September 2021!

Channeling his standards and techniques, he has already gained a large client base and loves being able to take on both scheduled appointments and walk-ins.

Zach brings his 7 years of piercing experience, creativity, reliability, and patience (hello, Virgo!) to each and every service which leads to the most gorgeous piercings and ecstatic clients.

When he’s not showing off the new gold in the case, you can find him watching horror movies, playing guitar and piano, or leveling up in the newest video games. He’s always open to horror movie recommendations or talking about your favorite games.

From his aseptic piercing technique to his eye for one-of-a-kind jewelry placements, Zach is a surefire member of the Mom’s team.

APP Member Apprentice Piercer

Kynz is a dedicated professional piercing apprentice based in Spokane, WA, originally from Missoula, MT.

She has immersed herself in the art and science of piercing, actively pursuing education through mentorship from Scout Swilling and Zach Westbrook while also attending numerous classes from the Associate of Professional Piercers to enhance her skills.

Passionate about helping clients achieve their aesthetic aspirations, Kynz collaborates closely with them and works tirelessly to realize their design visions. Her affinity for fashion and design extends beyond her work, always eager to explore new styles and trends.

In her leisure time, she indulges in video games renowned for their compelling narratives.
